Daisy!

Our boys have a strong affinity for Auntie Lindsay and Uncle Chris's dog, Daisy.

"Daisy" was Jasper's first two syllable word last summer at the cabin when he was 18 months. He woke up the first morning (after arriving late the night before), came out into the living room to see Nana and Papa was encouraged to say all sorts of things like Auntie, Nana, Papa, Linnea, Karin, etc. but remained mum. Then when uncle Chris returned from a walk with Daisy, Jasper got one glimpse of her and with a h-u-g-e smile on his face and great inflection in his voice said "Daisy" as he crouched down to see her with open arms.

Jasper still loves Daisy and now especially loves getting and giving kisses to her. When we were in Michigan we had to sometimes protect Daisy from an overzealous Jasper who would come running for her to give her kisses and get some in return.

Benjamin is not as overt but loves Daisy all the same. It's pretty adorable. I think Daisy liked having Benjamin on her level and that Benjamin was tame and snuggly in comparison to his brother.

When it came time to say goodbye for this visit, Jasper was especially sad to say goodbye to Daisy.
