Here are some videos from meals in the last few weeks.  The first shows how Benjamin is making progress eating big boy food, and how much he eats!  Some might find one section hard to “stomach” (aka Lindsay), but I find it FASCINATING how quickly he learned what/how he can and cannot eat.  Little minds are amazing.  Isn’t God amazing?  They are learning things without even knowing they are learning!  And what an awesome responsibility it puts on us as parents to model appropriately what they should learn.

The video of Jasper is just a fun conversation with him at lunch.  I just today watched a video from almost a year ago.  Wow!  He’s changed so much even since then.  It’s funny to think that I think he’s always talked as nicely as he does now, but of course he didn’t.  He’s a super verbal and totally fun kid with whom to have a conversation!

The hot dog song is from our Music Together class.  This class was recommended to us by our star babysitter, Miss Mallory.  I had no idea what to expect and signed us up based solely on her recommendation because I thought the boys could really benefit from a music class.  I have not been disappointed!

We love our teacher Miss Abby.  The class is very Montessori-style and encourages learning of every type.  This is good, because for the first few weeks Jasper hardly ever even sat on the rug.  He would walk, roll or slither around on the floor and rarely sang a peep.  But lately he loves singing the songs from class at home or in the car and will join in at class.  Last week he sang on a 5th from our resting tone and the teacher (Miss Carry, since Miss Abby was sick) pointed it out to the rest of the class and was so proud of him.  Well, from that point on he was putty in her hands.  He wanted to tell her everything about himself – that he was going to be 3 in December (she said, “you’re not even 3 and you can talk like this?”), about all the cars he’s going to get for his birthday, etc.  He was a chatter box!  This past week I started to sing one of the echo songs and he followed me, and then he one-upped me and led me in the 2nd and 3rd verses.  I couldn’t believe it!  Such fun!
