Thanksgiving Travel

We traveled as a family to Michigan for Thanksgiving with the Jasper family. This was Benjamin's first flight, and that reminds me of something. We bought the tickets for this flight before Benjamin was born, and the airline requested a name and birth date. At the time, Erica and I hadn't finalized the name choice. So, I had to guess on his name and the date of his arrival. I was right on both!

As you know from previous posts, Jasper loves to fly. He particularly loves to plaster his face to the window before takeoff to watch all of the trucks cruise around the airport. We didn't know how Benjamin would do.

Jasper especially loves seeing the tanker trucks.

Jasper also enjoys watching the passengers around us. Fortunately, most of the people we have flown with have not minded. Maybe it is the hair, but people usually smile when he stares. It also helps that he is a good flyer (at least to the other passengers). Jasper does give us a run for our money at times while traveling.

Jasper has started to request his sunglasses, and we think it is great! I'm more than willing to let him wear them. Here, Jasper is enjoying a snack before he drifts off to sleep. We brought him a small pillow, and he slept in Drew's lap for about 45 minutes. Because he is willing to nap like this, travel days are so much less disruptive.

"My future's so bright I gotta wear shades!"
