One day Jasper wanted to help mop the kitchen floor. Since I need to (but do not always) clean the floor under the kitchen table after every meal (little kids drop more food than you’d imagine!), I was more than happy to take the help. Well, this is what he had in mind.
Check this out, he’s asleep on the chair. There is no book in his hand. We do not know what kept him in the chair until he fell asleep.
Sleep is the forbidden fruit in our household. Benjamin doesn’t like to do it and thinks waking up early is the way to go. Jasper won’t go to sleep at bedtime no matter how tired he is (or not). Some nights he’s good and stays in his room even though he does not go to sleep right away. Other nights, he disobeys repeatedly and comes out of his room, plays with toys, shakes the gate, cries, etc. and generally causes us great frustration, irritation and discouragement. Bedtime is so not a fun time around here … still.
